Wildlife Safari

Wildlife safari vacations are the main reason why travelers love coming to Costa Rica (alongside adventure activities, of course). It’s well-known that the country is home to just over 5% of the world’s biodiversity. This is quite impressive for such a small territory! The Costa Rican government has also made incredible efforts in preserving its nature and wildlife through an extensive National Park and reserve system.

All of this has contributed to the development of amazing eco-tourism projects. There are now so many fantastic wildlife observation tours around that it can be hard to choose. For those who want to experience the ultimate wildlife safari, the Corcovado National Park may be what you are looking for! The National Geographic has described it as “the most biologically intense place on earth“. It is a bit difficult to access, though, and there are definitely a lot of other options for you. Spots such as Tortuguero, Manuel Antonio, or Caño Negro (and so many more!) are also spectacular for wildlife.
